TRAVEL INSURANCE FREEBIES DISAPPEARING IN WAKE OF FSA
With the FSA now regulating part of the travel insurance industry, TravelInsurance.co.uk are warning consumers to take extra care.
Many people will rely on credit cards to provide 'freebie' cover for those trips abroad but many if not most of the providers have started to drop the insurance cover.
Halifax is one of the latest companys to have removed travel insurance from all new credit card applications, where as Sainsbury's Bank is going to withdraw travel accident cover from all its cards from the 1st of March.
The two providers are following Lloyds TSB who withdrew its free packages at the start of November 2004.
